Today’s post is a little all over the place, but I definitely was thinking fall, at least when it came to the clothes and accessories.

I’m OBSESSED with Pendleton blankets — they’re so pretty and look so cozy. I’m loving gold — still — and the flatware from Target is super affordable (Mom, if you’re reading…Christmas!)

The outdoor patio set is really affordable. By the time I’m posting this, it might be sold out online, but I may go to a few Home Depots this week to see if anyone has them in-stock. The dining chairs are so pretty — we need a set for each end of our table and these might be winners. World Market has been having some great sales, so I’ll be stalking those. The bench–oh, the bench–I wish I had somewhere in the house to put it. It’s gorgeous!

Lastly, check out the bracelet and 31bits. SUCH an incredible company!

On a side note — did my second-straight workout last night with a 30/30 run/walk. It was so humid, but I did two miles, which is a good start. Trying to keep that momentum going!

Enjoy your online shopping/browsing and have a good day!

10 Links to Make Your Week

Happy Thursday!

Today’s a Saints game day which is very exciting, but I’m looking forward to the weekend and having a full day that includes no work with hubby on Sunday! We always talk a big game in terms of activities and fun on off-days, but end up on the couch with the pups. It’s bad — any NOLA friends have some fun suggestions to get us out of the house?

Below are 10 links I’m loving this week. Enjoy!

If you’re a buckeye, this will certainly excite you! O-H…I-O!

Ellen FINALLY returns on Sept. 8! I have missed her!

Found a new-to-me jewelry line to feed my tassel obsession.

Has anyone ever been to Clark Creek Nature Area? Would love an outdoors day!

I read an article this week about how every professional should have a personal website. Here are some tips to building your personal brand.

Interesting read about parental care and maternity leave around the world.

Dear Amy Shumer & Jennifer Lawrence, can we please be friends? Y’all have so much fun!

After chopping off my hair in June, I STILL feeling like I’m learning how to style the ‘lob.’ Can’t wait to try out some of these tips.

Some great cleaning hacks – especially for baking sheets.

Cuteness overload.

Have a great day!

Five things for Friday

Happy Friday!

1-2

This is one of my favorite places in the house. The painting was a COMPLETE experiment that worked out better than I could have ever imagined. I’ll give a tutorial at some point, but it’s a DIY that actually came out the way I had hoped. The candlesticks are just my favorite — I just love tall, tapered candles. They’re so pretty!

Our front door is so boring! I did finally manage to put some greenery out front with these fun Japanese Pencil Sticks. Symmetry is my favorite so I had to have two. I purchased them at Home Depot for $25 a piece and the pots are also from there. Some of the employees at Home Depot said they would be pretty tough to kill, so I’m hoping they are right. Suggestions are welcome in making our front door look a little prettier!

In honor of one of my college tennis teammates being in town, it’s a #FBF with this photo from my sophomore year at Bloomsburg University. I don’t think I’ve seen Julianne (second from the left, top row) in probably nine years, so it’ll be fun to reconnect in New Orleans!  (Above photo from Bloomsburg University Sports Information)

Kale Salad _ Asian Salad

One of my biggest work projects this week was a tasting for new menu items that will be featured during Saints home games. It was SUPER rough trying all of the new items, but some of my favorites were from the Eat Fit NOLA  options. The above left photo is of the Kale Salad (kale, yellow beets, cranberries, chicken) and the Asian Salad (ahi tuna, pineapple, scallion). Excited that there will be some healthy options when I stress eat if the game is close! In honor of the first home Saints preseason game, one of my favorite memories from last year. Pelicans players Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon did a crowd pump during a home game. Such a blast with these two! Hoping for a win over the Patriots on Sunday.

Have a great weekend and go Saints!
