This is one of my favorite places in the house. The painting was a COMPLETE experiment that worked out better than I could have ever imagined. I’ll give a tutorial at some point, but it’s a DIY that actually came out the way I had hoped. The candlesticks are just my favorite — I just love tall, tapered candles. They’re so pretty!
Our front door is so boring! I did finally manage to put some greenery out front with these fun Japanese Pencil Sticks. Symmetry is my favorite so I had to have two. I purchased them at Home Depot for $25 a piece and the pots are also from there. Some of the employees at Home Depot said they would be pretty tough to kill, so I’m hoping they are right. Suggestions are welcome in making our front door look a little prettier!
In honor of one of my college tennis teammates being in town, it’s a #FBF with this photo from my sophomore year at Bloomsburg University. I don’t think I’ve seen Julianne (second from the left, top row) in probably nine years, so it’ll be fun to reconnect in New Orleans! (Above photo from Bloomsburg University Sports Information)
One of my biggest work projects this week was a tasting for new menu items that will be featured during Saints home games. It was SUPER rough trying all of the new items, but some of my favorites were from the Eat Fit NOLA options. The above left photo is of the Kale Salad (kale, yellow beets, cranberries, chicken) and the Asian Salad (ahi tuna, pineapple, scallion). Excited that there will be some healthy options when I stress eat if the game is close! (Above photo from Amanda Arbeit/Eat Fit NOLA)
In honor of the first home Saints preseason game, one of my favorite memories from last year. Pelicans players Anthony Davis and Eric Gordon did a crowd pump during a home game. Such a blast with these two! Hoping for a win over the Patriots on Sunday.
Have a great weekend and go Saints!
